Hulu’s Rivals is a fantastic nighttime dramedy/soap opera that takes place in England in the 1980s. The series dives deep into the drama, toxic excess, and the elitist caste system in the UK. The setting is the cutthroat world of independent British television. Rivals is based on one of the Rutshire Chronicles books, a series written by Dame Jilly Cooper. The series has a phenomenal ensemble cast with interconnecting storylines, but I’m focusing on Cameron Cook, played by Nafessa Williams in the series.
